Mets: "The motivation to return to winning ways is high"

Next up for the Boys in Brown after two defeats in a row is an outing at Hannover 96 on Sunday (13.30 CET). Preparations for the meeting with the side in fifth place began on Wednesday, and after the session Karol Mets took time out for questions from the media.

Karol Mets on…

…the recent defeats: "We obviously pictured things going differently. We don't like losing, especially two games in succession. We can't be satisfied with that, so we're aiming to bounce back and show our true face in the next game. The motivation to return to winning ways is high. Losing is the best opportunity to show character. It's a test of what we're made of now."

…the reasons for the Elversberg loss: "It was a bad performance from us. I can't say exactly why that was. It was just one of those days you get during a long season. Sometimes you can get something at home with a performance like that, but it wasn't to be this time. The result and the performance were disappointing."

…the mood in the camp: "It isn't bad. There's a focused mood in the squad. We're aware of the situation we're in."

…the run-in: "We've been very solid all season and are one of the best teams in the league. That makes me confident that we'll bounce back. We have a tough game at Hannover. They're a really good side and very strong at home. I believe in us and the ability of every single one of us to bounce back. We have a lot of confidence and know how strong we are, but we also know how tough it's going to be at Hannover."

…Eric Smith, who pulled out of training early on Wednesday: "I don't know why he had to leave the training ground early or whether if it's serious or not. If it is, we have players who can come in and they have to be ready."

…the large travelling support at Hannover: "Our fans support us wherever we play. They're very important for us because they give us an extra lift and we do need that. I hope they show that energy and passion at Hannover as well."
