Job done! FC St. Pauli are back in the Bundesliga after a gap of 13 years thanks to a more than deserved 3-1 home win over VfL Osnabrück on Sunday afternoon. Oladapo Afolayan set his side on the road to victory in the 7th minute in front of an ecstatic full house before second-half goals from Afolayan and Marcel Hartel kicked off a jubilant promotion party at the Millerntor. A late Lars Kehl penalty for the visitors almost went unnoticed among the celebrations.

FC St. Pauli take on relegated VfL Osnabrück in the final home game of the league season on Sunday (13.30 CET). Head coach Fabian Hürzeler looked ahead to the game in conversation with the media this morning.

FC St. Pauli went down 1-0 at HSV in the second local derby of the season on Friday evening. In a high-octane contest in front 57,000 spectators, the home side had two goals disallowed before Robert Glatzel won it in the 85th minute. Nikola Vasilj then saved a Ludovit Reis penalty in time added on.
