FC St. Pauli have secured the services of another youth talent on a long-term contract after director Uwe Stöver and Finn Ole Becker agreed terms on a deal tying the 18-year-old midfielder to the club until 30 June 2022.
"Finn Ole is one the brightest talents in our academy," said director of sport Uwe Stöver. "He's been demonstrating his ability in the senior squad since summer and has come on as a player. We're convinced he'll go far with us and so it was only logical for us to want to work with him long term."
Head coach Markus Kauczinski said he was looking forward to continuing the work with the Germany Under-19 international. "He's a really good footballer, has good pace and is very advanced tactically for his age. We're easing him step by step into the second division."
For Becker, the new contract represents the next step in his career with the Boys in Brown. "I've been playing for FC St. Pauli since 2011 and have had a wonderful and unforgettable time so far. The people in and around the club are particularly impressive and now the club is giving me the opportunity to take the next step towards becoming a professional footballer. I really want to take this step and give the club something back."
Becker is a product of club's youth setup and has represented Germany at both Under-18 and Under-19 level.
