Club officials continue to shape the squad for the new season after the successful battle against relegation and as part of this process have agreed new deals with four young players.
Accordingly, the club has exercised its option to extend the contract of Germany Under‑20 goalkeeper Svend Brodersen until 30 June 2019. Maurice Litka has penned a new deal that will run until 30 June 2020, while Yi-Young Park and Jan-Marc Schneider have signed professional terms until 30 June 2019.
"These four players have shown they have the potential to play a role in our first team," said director of sport Andreas Rettig. "The intention now is for them to take the next step and develop in the squad. It's important to emphasise the loyalty the lads have displayed to the club, as all of them committed before it was clear what division we'd be playing in."
