SV SANDHAUSEN FACT FILE

Ewald Lienen's St. Pauli side are looking to bounce back against SV Sandhausen on Tuesday (1730 CET) after the disappointing 1-0 reverse at Erzgebirge Aue. As usual, we've put together a few facts on our opponents to get you up to speed for the game.

Two months without a win
Kenan Kocak's Sandhausen made a promising start to the second half of the campaign but the results have dried up since the 2-0 defeat of Aue two months ago and they come to the Millerntor without a win in seven. The visitors registered a goalless draw against Bochum on Saturday, leaving them in ninth place on 33 points, yet still at risk of being drawn into the battle against relegation if results continue to go against them.

Injured strike trio
The Boys in Brown will need to be wary on Tuesday as Sandhausen's 31 goals this season have come from 15 different players. Leading striker Andrew Wooten (9 goals) will be absent at the Millerntor, however, after rupturing an Achilles tendon. Injuries have also robbed Kenan Kocak of another two strikers in former St. Pauli man Richard Sukuta-Pasu and Jose-Pierre Vunguidica, though Lucas Höler, Sandhausen's second-leading scorer on five, is fit and available to play. Höler, who got on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture, has not registered in eight games, however.

Most fouled team
Sandhausen have been fouled 490 times so far this season, more than any other team in Bundesliga 2. Midfielder Lucas Höler, the second division player involved in the highest number of challenges this term (761), has suffered the most fouls with 84 in 25 matches, an average of over three a game. Only Elia Soriano of Kickers Würzburg has been fouled more often (93).

Rock in defence
Daniel Gordon has blossomed as a player since joining Sandhausen in summer after a four-year spell at Karlsruhe. The five-times-capped Jamaica centre-back has missed just two of his side's 24 games so far. With 69.4 per cent of duels won, Gordon, 32, is the second division's best tackler, having won 293 of his 422 challenges. Lasse Sobiech heads this statistic for St. Pauli, on 62.6 per cent.

Head-to-head
Sandhausen may have the edge in the table but St. Pauli lead the head-to-head record of the two sides in Bundesliga 2. The visitors have won three of the nine meetings to date, there have been two draws and the Boys in Brown have won four. The 3-0 defeat in the reverse fixture is warning enough, however.
