BOYS IN BROWN AT HOME TO DÜSSELDORF IN CUP QUARTER-FINAL
FC St. Pauli were handed a home tie against fellow second-division side Fortuna Düsseldorf when the draw for the DFB Cup quarter-final was made at the German Football Museum in Dortmund on Sunday evening. The game will take place in late January/early February.

FC St. Pauli progressed to the DFB Cup quarter-final with a 4-1 win at fourth-tier FC Homburg on Tuesday evening. Hauke Wahl gave his side a 24th minute lead, only for Markus Mendler to equalise soon after, but second-half goals from Elias Saad, Marcel Hartel and Johannes Eggestein set the Boys in Brown on the road to victory.

FC St. Pauli had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the derby against Hamburger SV in front of a sell-out crowd at the Millerntor on Friday evening. The Boys in Brown raced into a two-goal lead through Jackson Irvine and an own goal by HSV keeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes, only for the visitors to draw level with two goals in three minutes through Robert Glatzel and Immanuël Pherai.
