The Boys in Brown had to defend with everything they had in the closing stages to fend off the equaliser. All things considered, though, they were well worth the 3-2 win at Hansa Rostock. After the final whistle, the general consensus was that they should have put the game to bed much earlier by adding a fourth goal.

FC St. Pauli won the explosive matchup with Hansa Rostock 3-2 on Saturday in front of a sell-out 27,100 crowd. The home side took an early lead through a Junior Brumado penalty before Manolis Saliakas, Marcel Hartel and Oladapo Afolayan turned the game round within the space of eight minutes. The Boys in Brown continued to dominate the proceedings after the interval until another Brumado spot-kick made for an exciting finale ten minutes from time, but the lads saw the game out to seal the victory.

Hanna Obersteller elected club vice-president
FC St. Pauli members elected a new vice-president at the club's annual general meeting at the Congress Center Hamburg on Thursday, with financial expert Hanna Obersteller receiving more than 97 per cent of the votes cast.

FC St. Pauli posts negative results despite increase in revenue
FC St. Pauli ended the 2022/23 financial year with negative results. Though the club posted record revenue of EUR 61,954,540.90 compared with EUR 50,320,738.91 in the previous year, it recorded a consolidated net loss for the year of EUR 4,877,402.75 compared with a slight plus of EUR 359,873 in the previous year. Equity also fell from EUR 8,109,617 to EUR 3,226,908.57.
