BOYS IN BROWN WIN AT HERTHA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 33 YEARS TO GO TOP
FC St. Pauli won 2-1 at Hertha BSC on Saturday night and remain undefeated with eight games gone. Johannes Eggestein gave the Hürzeler XI a first-half lead before Marcel Hartel extended the advantage with a 70th minute header. Hertha’s Derry Scherhant grabbed a consolation goal on 83 but it was not enough to prevent the Boys in Brown from going top of the league.

HARTEL BAGS BRACE IN 3-1 DEFEAT OF SCHALKE
FC St. Pauli beat FC Schalke 04 by three goals to one in the game of the weekend in front of a sell-out crowd at the Millerntor on Saturday evening. Marcel Hartel gave his side the lead from the spot on 21 minutes, only for Sebastian Polter to equalise soon after. Hartel struck again to restore the advantage 12 minutes into the second half before substitute Carlo Boukhalfa sealed the win in time added on.

Engelbracht to take charge of business and finance
FC St. Pauli are delighted to announce the appointment of Wilken Engelbracht as the club's new commercial director from 1 November. Engelbracht will head up the business area, which includes the operations department (finance and HR) and the marketing department (including merchandise and ticketing). Club president Oke Göttlich said the club and the business were gaining an experienced and conscientious executive in Engelbracht, whose attitudes and ambitious targets matched those of FC St. Pauli.

FIVE-STAR BOYS IN BROWN SEND KIEL PACKING
FC St. Pauli cruised to a 5-1 win over Holstein Kiel on Sunday to record their first home win after four consecutive draws. In front of another sell-out crowd at the Millterntor, the Boys in Brown took an early two-goal lead thanks to wonderful strikes from Connor Metcalfe and Eric Smith before Oladapo Afolayan added a third just before the interval. Susbtitute Lewis Holtby pulled one back for the visitors five minutes into the second half, only for Lars Ritzka and Marcel Hartel to produce two more quality strikes to take it to 5-1.
