Eggestein and Boukhalfa depart
Striker Johannes Eggestein and midfielder Carlo Boukhalfa are leaving the Boys in Brown this summer after three years at the Millerntor. Eggestein made 85 appearances for the club, scoring 20 goals and providing 13 assists, while Boukhalfa clocked up 62 appearances and four goals.

Guilavogui to return to RC Lens
Morgan Guilavogui is leaving FC St. Pauli. The Boys in Brown signed the striker on loan from RC Lens before the start of last season and then made use of an option in the contract to make the deal permanent. As the French top-division club then exercised its own option to buy the player back within the time allowed, however, the 27-year-old Guinea international will now return to France.

As at the end of every season, the time has come to bid farewell to a number of players. Besides Simon Zoller, who is hanging up his boots, Sascha Burchert, Sören Ahlers, Eric Oelschlägel, Andreas Albers and loanees Siebe Van der Heyden, Robert Wagner and Noah Weißhaupt are all leaving the club.

Nemeth handed new deal
The personnel planning for next season continues apace. Just days after the end of the 2024/25 campaign, Austrian centre-back David Nemeth, 24, has signed an extension to his contract, which had 12 months left to run, after agreeing terms with director of sport Andreas Bornemann.

Boys in Brown celebrate staying up despite 2-0 defeat against Bochum
FC St. Pauli slipped to a 2-0 defeat against VfL Bochum on the final day of the season, but their Bundesliga status is secure. Myron Boadu gave the visitors a 10th minute lead in front of another packed house at the Millerntor and doubled the advantage midway through the second half. Though the Boys in Brown could not ward off the defeat, they were able to celebrate staying up with the fans after the final whistle.
