GÖTTLICH HAILS STRONG ON-FIELD PERFORMANCE IN TOUGH ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT
Club president Oke Göttlich thanked head coach Fabian Hürzeler and director of sport Andreas Bornemann for a highly successful second half of the season and said FC St. Pauli would continue to do its utmost for the football side of the operation. The economic situation remains difficult, however, compounded by the fact that the club has decided not to sign any more deals with sports betting companies.

Mets handed permanent deal
FC St. Pauli have handed defender Karol Mets a permanent deal beyond the end of this season. The Estonia international spent the second half of the season with the Boys in Brown on loan from FC Zürich and now the club has exercised its option to buy the player. The two clubs have agreed not to disclose any details of the transfer arrangements.

PAQARADA: "THEN THE WATERWORKS OPENED"
They wanted to sign off with a win, but in the end a far superior St. Pauli side could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Karlsruhe. After the final whistle, head coach Fabian Hürzeler reviewed the performance, while Leart Paqarada, Luca Zander and Igor Matanović looked back on the 90 minutes and their time at the club.

BOYS IN BROWN HELD BY KSC AS PAQARADA SIGNS OFF WITH A GOAL
FC St. Pauli had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Karlsruher SC in the final game of the season on Sunday. The Boys in Brown dominated from the off in front of a capacity crowd, but it was the visitors who took the lead through Fabian Schleusener on the stroke of half-time. Leart Paqarada grabbed a deserved 58th minute equaliser on his final appearance for the club but for all their superiority the Hürzeler XI were unable to find a winner.

FC St. Pauli sign Hauke Wahl
FC St. Pauli have added another player to their squad for next season with the signing of Hauke Wahl from Holstein Kiel. The 29-year-old centre-back has made 302 league and cup appearances to date, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists in that time.

BOYS IN BROWN EDGE OUT KIEL BY ODD GOAL IN SEVEN
FC St. Pauli emerged victorious from their final away game of the season, beating Holstein Kiel by four goals to three on Friday evening. The Hürzeler XI fell behind to a 28th minute penalty by Steven Skrzybski but Dapo Afolayan restored parity before the break. A Hauke Wahl own goal, Lukas Daschner from the edge of the area, and another own goal by Mikkel Kirkeskov gave the Boys in Brown a 4-1 lead before like strikes from Marco Komenda and Fabian Reese made for an exciting finale. Afolayan also saw a second yellow just before the end.
