ZIEREIS: "THE DEFEAT'S OK IN THE END"

The 1-0 defeat at Erzgebirge Aue was a "sickener" or even "a real sickener", depending on which player you were talking to, but all in all it was not undeserved. We spoke to Lasse Sobiech, Philipp Ziereis and Philipp Heerwagen in the mixed zone after the game and also got the views of Aue's strike pairing of Dimitrij Nazarov and Nicky Adler.

Philipp Heerwagen: "The defeat is a real sickener. We couldn't translate our early possession into chances, which would have been the key to taking a point here. As if that weren't enough, the goal was a real gem. We now go again against Sandhausen at the Millerntor on Tuesday. That'll be a totally different game."

Philipp Ziereis: "That was such a sickener. We had a phase when we were in the game but couldn't create any clear-cut chances, so the defeat's OK in the end. We'll take a short breather now, get back to Hamburg OK and then put in a different performance on Tuesday."

Lasse Sobiech: "We got into it well without really having any chances. The goal did Aue a favour, of course, and things went their way after that. We couldn't find a way through. It's good to have a two-match week."

Dimitrij Nazarov (Erzgebirge Aue): "Looking at the table it was to be expected that there'd be few chances, both teams have been very stable at the back recently after all. We knew we had to take our chances. Nicky Adler took his and for me he scored the goal of the year today."

Nicky Adler (Erzgebirge Aue): "In training they often come off when a ball comes down like that. But for me to unleash one like that and for such an overhead kick to go in and decide the game doesn't happen very often."
