CHRISTOPHER BUCHTMANN: "A GREAT PERFORMANCE"

After the opening-day win at Bochum we collected a few quotes in the mixed zone.

Christopher Buchtmann: "It was a fantastic first half. We held our own and moved the ball around very well. It was clear it would be a different Bochum side after the interval. In the end one decent move was enough. We kept our nerve even when Bochum had us under pressure. Basically it was a great team performance."

Bernd Nehrig: "We wanted to go into the game full of desire but at the same time keep a cool head at all times, which we managed to do. When you have a second half of the season like we did last term, it galvanises you as a team. You saw that today."

Jan-Philipp Kalla: "We're obviously delighted with the win. We had a lot of possession in the first half but unfortunately we had nothing to show for it. Bochum are a good team and so we're glad the one goal was enough."

Robin Himmelmann: "I'm not really surprised by the way we played because we were fully focused. I'm very happy we ended up with three points. We'll draw a line under Bochum now and set our sights on our next opponents."

Mats Møller Dæhli: "We can be pleased with the performance. We all fought hard."

Sami Allagui: "It was a high-intensity match. Obviously it's great to win the opening game but there's still a long way to go, so we have to keep our feet on the ground."

Felix Bastians: "It's bitterly disappointing. We threw a lot at it. The first half wasn't good, but after the break we were able to exert some pressure and dictate the play. Unfortunately we didn't score."
