Bouhaddouz completes Saudi switch

Aziz Bouhaddouz has left FC St. Pauli to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Batin FC, the club announced today.

"Aziz approached us with the request to leave the club and take on a new challenge in Saudi Arabia and we decided to accept it," said director of sport Uwe Stöver. "We'd like to wish Aziz all the best and as much success as possible at his new club and thank him for what he has done for FC St. Pauli." The two clubs have agreed not to disclose any details of the transfer.

"I'd like to thank St. Pauli for two great years," said Bouhaddouz. "I take a lot with me and had a wonderful time with the team and the staff. The atmosphere at the Millerntor and the backing of the fans was fantastic. I'll miss it. A new challenge begins for me at Al-Batin and I'm looking forward to it. I wish the team and the club all the best for the season."

The Morocco international joined the Boys in Brown from SV Sandhausen in 2016 and scored 19 goals in 56 appearances.
