BOYS IN BROWN AWAY TO UNION BERLIN IN CUP QUARTER-FINAL

FC St. Pauli were handed a trip to Union Berlin in the draw for the quarter-final of the DFB Cup on Sunday evening. The tie will take place on Tuesday, 1 March or Wednesday, 2 March, subject to confirmation by the German Football Association (DFB).

WHAT THEY SAID

Director of sport Andreas Bornemann: "Union Berlin are a challenge in footballing terms and a really tough draw. Our biggest wish was to get a home tie, if possible with fans. Our wish wasn't granted, unfortunately. Instead, we go to a Bundesliga side who are having a very good season and are extremely strong at home. There will have certainly been easier draws."

Head coach Timo Schultz: "It'll be a great contest between two sides with a long tradition and I obviously hope it can take place in front of fans. It's a tough tie but we aim to take our chance."
