DIAMANTAKOS MAKES ST. PAULI SWITCH

FC St. Pauli have completed the transfer of Dimitrios Diamantakos from VfL Bochum. The Greece international (five appearances) has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract until 30 June 2020. The clubs have agreed not to disclose any details of the transfer arrangements.

Diamantakos has made 59 Bundesliga 2 appearances for VfL Bochum and Karlsruher Sport Club 59, scoring 15 goals. This season the 24-year-old striker scored twice in nine outings for Bochum.

Reaction to the transfer:

Director of sport Uwe Stöver: "Dima is an established player who has demonstrated his quality at this level. He'll add an extra dimension to our attacking game with his international experience and style of play. We're convinced he can help us right away."

Head coach Markus Kauczinski: "Dima is a quick, left-footed player who gives us more attacking options with his athleticism and the way he moves. He's demonstrated his quality both as a scorer and a maker of goals in recent years."

Dimitrios Diamantakos: "I'm looking forward to St. Pauli. They have a very good reputation. I'll do my utmost to be successful with the club and the team."
