Ducksch joins Holstein Kiel on loan

Marvin Ducksch has joined ambitious third-division club Holstein Kiel on loan until the end of the season to become the second player to leave St. Pauli this winter.

Ducksch moved to Hamburg from Borussia Dortmund's second team in summer 2016 and made ten league and two cup appearances for the Boys in Brown, scoring two goals in total.

What they said

Head coach Ewald Lienen: "We spoke to Marvin at length about a loan deal with Kiel. It's a perfect opportunity for him to build himself up after his injuries and get the necessary match practice."

Marvin Ducksch: "The season hasn't gone as well for me as I would have hoped, so I've decided to go down the road of gaining match practice with an ambitious third-division side in order to return to St. Pauli well prepared for next season. I'm glad everything has gone through so quickly and smoothly."

St. Pauli would like to wish Marvin Ducksch all the best for his time at Holstein Kiel!
