ALLAGUI: "WE'RE ON A ROLL AT THE MOMENT"

The Boys in Brown continued their positive run on Monday evening, picking up their fourth win in five games at MSV Duisburg. Afterwards the players expressed their delight not only with the three points but also with the way they came about.

Philipp Ziereis: "The whole team got in the game really well, and we did what we set out to do. We finally did very well in possession. As in the last few games, we were exceptional in defence."

Sami Allagui: "It's going well for me at the moment. We gave a good performance in the first half but didn't get into the game as easily in the second. Once again, we landed a lucky punch. Initially I wanted to block a defender but then I realised they weren't picking us up properly and I ran into space. I'm glad I was able to help and score. During the week the boss said he wanted a goal from a corner and I'm happy to have fulfilled his wish. I was obviously disappointed not to start the game but I'm a team player and I always try to collect arguments in my favour and make it as difficult as possible for the boss. I'm also delighted to have made the fans happy. These late goals are a quality we have. We're a stable team and we're on a roll at the moment."

Marvin Knoll: "It was a superb performance in which we imposed our game on them. We defended well and gave hardly anything away. We had our chances but could have done better sometimes going forward. Sami simply has a nose for goal. He's in the game immediately and sticks it away. I'm obviously delighted for him and for the fans as well."

Mats Møller Dæhli: "We played some really good football today, created some good chances and gave very little away. We have a really good mentality in the team and deserved to win in the end."

Johannes Flum: "We did really well and showed very, very good discipline. We played better football today, especially in the first half. I take my hat off to Sami for the way he came on and decided the game again. It's crazy how much quality we have on the bench."

John Verhoek (MSV Duisburg): "St. Pauli were better in the first half when we operated with lots of long balls. The second half was more even. In the end it was bitterly disappointing to lose."

Andreas Wiegel (MSV Duisburg): "St. Pauli did better in the first half but we came more into it after the break. We have to do better at set pieces, however. We get our marking wrong once and that decides the game."
