FC St. Pauli slipped to a 2-0 defeat against VfL Bochum on the final day of the season, but their Bundesliga status is secure. Myron Boadu gave the visitors a 10th minute lead in front of another packed house at the Millerntor and doubled the advantage midway through the second half. Though the Boys in Brown could not ward off the defeat, they were able to celebrate staying up with the fans after the final whistle.

On Thursday afternoon head coach Alexander Blessin patiently took questions from the media at the customary pre-match news conference before Saturday’s visit of VfL Bochum (15.30 CET).
