"WE NEGLECTED TO KILL THE GAME OFF" – THE POST-MATCH REACTION

After the 1-1 home draw against Kaiserslautern the mood was mostly one of disappointment. Here's what players and officials had to say in the mixed zone.
Uwe Stöver (director of sport): "It feels like two points dropped. We didn't give much away and conceded from a set piece – that's disappointing and annoying. We would have deserved to come away with three points. We had good chances after going ahead, such as the one for Mats Møller Dæhli that Marius Müller did very well to save. We neglected to kill the game off but I can live with the way the team performed."
Sami Allagui: "It was a good feeling and a relief to finally open my account in the league – and to cap it all here at the Millerntor. Yet my overall feeling is one of disappointment because we didn't win the game. We gave them hardly any chances but were punished in the end. Last week the luck was on our side a bit, today it was on Kaiserslautern's side."
Robin Himmelmann: "We wanted to show from the outset that we determined to take all three points. We improved after the interval and got our reward with the goal. In the end we failed to get the win because of a lapse in concentration from a set piece, so none of us is very happy now."
Christopher Buchtmann: "Obviously the draw doesn't feel all that good. We should have added a second after going ahead because that would have sealed it, so it's extremely frustrating. We had Kaiserslautern well under control really. I can't blame anyone today. We now go to Sandhausen and will be looking to get three points there."
Lasse Sobiech: "We had the better chances, some good moves and more of the play. There's no way we shouldn't have three points after the 90 minutes. We've won games from set pieces this season and now it's our turn. We have to accept it. We're obviously not very happy, but it would have been worse to have got off lightly after it went 1-1. We're left frustrated that it wasn't more than a point."
Christoph Moritz (Kaiserslautern): "We came here looking to get something and that's what we did. After going behind to a Torsten Frings memorial effort from Sami into the right-hand corner and coming under pressure from St. Pauli after that, we came back with our first goal from a set piece this season."
Marius Müller (Kaiserslautern): "I love being able to play here. At least you don't get bombarded with nasty insults. The atmosphere is really positive. We allowed ourselves to be pushed back in the first 15 to 20 minutes and didn't get into the game. We only came back into it after conceding the goal."
Gino Fechner (Kaiserslautern): "The atmosphere was outstanding. Coming out to AC/DC gave me goosebumps. We weren't very good in the first 20 minutes. The setback came in the second half but we kept our heads up and got the equaliser thanks to our mental attitude."
