Lukas Daschner has decided not to sign a new deal with the Boys in Brown. The attacking midfielder will join Bundesliga outfit VfL Bochum when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Daschner arrived at the Millerntor from MSV Duisburg for the start of the 2020/21 campaign. In his first two seasons with the club he was unable to secure a regular first-team berth, partly because of a serious knee injury sustained in August 2021, but in the season just ended he was an automatic first-choice and featured in every competitive fixture. In total, Daschner made 73 league and cup appearances in a three-year spell, scoring 11 goals and contributing 11 assists.

The 24-year-old will take his next career step in the Bundesliga with VfL Bochum and he departs with our very best wishes for the future.
