FRANZKE COMPLETES MAGDEBURG SWITCH

FC St. Pauli and forward Maximilian Franzke have cancelled his contract with the club by mutual agreement. Franzke spent the season just ended on loan at FC Magdeburg and has now joined the third-division outfit on a permanent deal.

Franzke, 22, arrived at the Millerntor in the winter break of the 2019/2020 season. He made a total of five fourth-tier appearances for the Under-23s and five second-division appearances for the first team.

Director of sport Andreas Bornemann: "Maximilian is a talented player who needs to take another step in his development. In view of his limited opportunities at FC St. Pauli, the move to FC Magdeburg is a good solution."

Maximilian Franzke: "I'd like to take this opportunity to thank FC St. Pauli for everything once again. My time here was valuable with lots of experiences. I was able to make my professional debut here, something I'll never forget. I'm now looking forward to the coming period at FC Magdeburg and wish FC St. Pauli all the very best for the future."
