SOBIECH: "WE WEREN'T CLINICAL ENOUGH"

Despite playing for almost 80 minutes against ten men, the Boys in Brown were unable to capitalise and it ended 0-0 against SV Sandhausen on Tuesday evening. We spoke to a few players in the mixed zone afterwards.
Christopher Buchtmann: "We were busier in the second half but unfortunately we couldn't create any clear-cut chances. Sandhausen did a very good job. We've escaped a similar situation before and we'll do it again. This team has the quality to do that. We're in a relegation scrap, it doesn't matter that we've got a lot of games in a few days. We stay positive."
Daniel Buballa: "Sandhausen were hoping for a 0-0 draw to keep us at bay. After the red card we were up against a block of eight who gave us little space. We have to try to create more pressure, however. In the end we didn't show the necessary conviction."
Waldemar Sobota: "We have to do better and create more chances when up against ten men for 80 minutes. That's the only way you're going to score. It's just so annoying."
Lasse Sobiech: "Today feels like we dropped points. It's really annoying! We had a lot of situations in and around the box but simply couldn't get the goal. The commitment was there, we worked our socks off. We just weren't clinical enough in front of goal."
Lennart Thy: "It's obviously bitterly disappointing when you draw 0-0 at home despite playing against ten men for almost 80 minutes. We didn't find the right means, didn't make the best use of our chances and the ball just wouldn't go in. We have to brush ourselves down now and go again. From tomorrow the focus is firmly on our next opponents."
Bernd Nehrig: "We wanted to put Sandhausen under pressure but we didn't play with enough pace and so couldn't take our chances. We shouldn't forget that Sandhausen have good players. Their two rows of four at the back defended very well. We can be annoyed and disappointed today, but from tomorrow the focus will be on Nürnberg. The point today might be worth a lot because it isn't over until the final day. If I worried about today's result, what would I have been like in the first half of the season!
