St. Pauli sign goalkeeper Müller

FC St. Pauli have responded to the departure of Philipp Heerwagen by signing experienced goalkeeper Korbinian Müller. The 27-year-old, who was on the books of third-division outfit SpVgg Unterhaching until the end of last season, has been handed a contract to 30 June 2019 with the option for an additional two years.

"We are convinced that with his performances and the experience gained in 115 third-division appearances Korbinian satisfies our profile requirements for the recently vacated goalkeeping position," said director of sport Uwe Stöver.

Müller said he was delighted to be moving to the Millerntor: "I'm really looking forward to a new and big challenge at St. Pauli in the second division. It's always been a dream and a goal of mine to play for such an exceptional club as this one. I will do everything I can for the success of the club and always give my best."

To date, Müller has made a total of 115 third-division appearances for SpVgg Unterhaching and Stuttgarter Kickers.
