St. Pauli sign Møller Dæhli

FC St. Pauli have completed another important part of their squad-building process for next season with the acquisition of Mats Møller Dæhli on a permanent deal from Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg. The 23-year-old midfielder, who joined the club on loan in January of last year, has put pen to paper on a deal that will run until 30 June 2021. No details of the transfer fee will be disclosed.

FCSP director of sport Uwe Stöver expressed his delight on extending the relationship with Møller Dæhli: "In Mats we're happy to have tied another key player to the club. Mats is a tricky, nimble player who is combative and assured on the ball. He's fitted in very well at the club, both in terms of his character and his footballing ability."

The attacking midfielder is equally pleased to be spending another three years in a brown-and-white shirt: "St. Pauli is more than just a football team for me, it's more like home. The support of the fans and the values of the club are something I'm very proud of. I'm happy to be able to play at St. Pauli for another three years and I'll do everything I can to help the team and improve as a player."

Møller Dæhli arrived at the Millerntor on loan from SC Freiburg in January 2017 and has made 34 appearances for the club since then (2 goals, 3 assists).
