MØLLER DÆHLI: "THE PERFORMANCE WAS GOOD, THE RESULT DISAPPOINTING"

In a repeat of both meetings in the 2016/17 season, the Boys in Brown conceded late on to lose at VfB Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon. A decent away performance could not diminish the sense of dejection afterwards.

Marvin Knoll: "We came up with a plan and it worked really well. We had our opportunities on the break and lots of chances. You don't get that many here. We should have scored and put the game to bed, but instead we conceded the equaliser from a set piece and then a second in the last minute."

Mats Møller Dæhli: "It was a good away showing. The performance was good, the result disappointing. We defended well, switched the play well and got the ball forward quickly. That was really good in the first half. We created chances in the second half as well and should have made better use of them. Stuttgart put us under pressure towards the end and played really well. It wasn't easy for us in that phase. One point from three matches is obviously not enough, but we have to keep going."

Ryo Miyaichi: "We should have seen the game out at 1-1. We're obviously gutted to lose it at the end. We had chances to score another but failed to take them. The defeat is hard to take. The boss came up with a surprise by putting me at right-back in training during the week. It took me a while to get used to it because I've never played there before. I think I did a very good job today."
