"A BLOW STRAIGHT TO THE HEART" – ALL THE POST-MATCH REACTION

After the last-minute defeat at Union Berlin the Boys in Brown were left rueing their misfortune and some missed opportunities. Here's the reaction from the mixed zone.

Uwe Stöver (director of sport): "It's tough to come away with nothing tangible from a game like that. Not many teams will put in a performance like that at the Alte Försterei. The players fought with passion and played some good football but were unable to take their chances. We're not enjoying any luck at the moment but we'll stick at it!"

Sami Allagui: "It's hard to take. I should have scored. We were the better team – we noticed that, Union noticed that. It was a really good performance. It's more than disappointing not to get a goal."

Lasse Sobiech: "It's incredibly annoying. We gave a good performance. Union had some problems and could have lived with a point. At the other end we should have got one as well. We'll take a lot of positives from the game, though. We played football and held our own. It's hard to believe we're going home empty-handed."

Daniel Buballa: "We defended well and then lost our concentration for a moment at the end. The goal was a blow straight to the heart. It hurts not to reward ourselves for the performance with at least a point."

Mats Møller Dæhli: "It was a good, intensive game from both teams. We were definitely worth a draw or even more. We have to take our chances, especially in the second half."

Sebastian Polter (Union Berlin): "It was a tough game for me. Lasse and Jackson made my life difficult and defended very well. I kept believing in myself right to the end and I'm glad the ball went in."
