#FCSPGOESUSA: WHERE TO SEE THE BOYS IN BROWN ON THEIR US TOUR

The Boys in Brown fly to the United States on Tuesday, 15 May. There’ll be several opportunities to meet the St. Pauli delegation before they return home on Thursday, 25 May. Where and when? Here’s an overview:

Friday (18 May) - Detroit

On the fourth day of the tour there are not one but two opportunities. At 2.30pm local time (all times indicated below are local time), FCSP fans can meet technical director Ewald Lienen at the 3rd Man Records Store (441 W Canfield Street) run by White Stripes singer Jack White and others.

In the evening, the entire delegation will first visit the Detroit City Distillery Bar (2462 Riopelle Street). From 6.45pm, the Boys in Brown will have lots of time for photos, autographs, and a chat. Partners Levi’s will also run a customizing session where fans can give their (denim) jackets a makeover with a choice of FCSP badges. Later in the evening, the St. Pauli delegation will go to the Rise Against concert at the St. Andrews Hall, which starts at 9pm and is already sold out.

Saturday (19 May) - Detroit

There's plenty happening on day five of the US tour. It begins with a panel discussion on the subject of "Detroit City FC & FC St. Pauli – a different kind of football?" at the Avenue Room on the 21st floor of the Motor City Casino Hotel (2901 Grand River Avenue). The club will be represented by president Oke Göttlich and Ewald Lienen. They will be joined by Sean Mann (Detroit City FC), Christian Weiss (Levi's), and Dr Stefan Szymanski (University of Michigan). Kick-off is at 11.30pm. Admission is free, and 200 places are available.

At 3.30pm the FCSP delegation can be found at the Fowling Warehouse (3901 Christopher Street). There will be also be a silent auction by the joint North American supporters club NordAmerikurve. All proceeds go to the Freedom House in Detroit. Several rare FCSP items will go under the hammer here. Afterwards the delegation will move on to the first of two friendlies on the US tour with fans of the Northern Guard. The Boys in Brown take on Detroit Football Club at the Keyworth Stadium (kick-off: 6pm).

After the game there will be a Players Night at the The Magic Stick on Woodward Avenue, starting at 9pm. Supporters and players can wind down together to the sounds of DJ Dagseoul, and a surprise act has also been lined up. Admission is free, and 300 places are available.

Tuesday (22 May) - Portland

The second game of the tour against Portland Timbers II kicks off at 8pm. Afterwards the players will attend the FC St. Pauli-Timbers party at the Cider Roit Pub (807 NE Couch Street) from 10pm. More information is available here: CLICK!
