Under-19 striker Bennet Winter signs professional terms

FC St. Pauli have handed Under-19 centre-forward Bennet Winter a professional contract in anticipation of next season that will take effect from 1 July 2023.

Winter, 18, joined FC St. Pauli from TSV Havelse in October 2020. Last season he made 13 appearances for the Under-19 Bundesliga team, scoring five goals. This season, he has scored five in four games and provided one assist. Winter also hit the target in the DFB Youth Cup quarter-final. On top of this, he has made eight appearances for the Under-23s this season, scoring one goal.

Director of sport Andreas Bornemann: Bennet is a huge talent that we want to tie to FC St. Pauli. We will continue to give young players the chance and the space to make their mark in the professional game if at all possible."

Carsten Rothenbach, Under-23 manager: "We moved Bennet Winter up to the senior men's setup this season to allow him to get used to the high demands. We see great potential in Bennet and are confident he can make the step up to the professional level."
